I've written previously about plans to build a new primary school on the site of the Atheldene Centre. One group of residents is concerned about details of the proposals and are calling for anyone who shares their concerns to get in touch before the council's planning committee meets on 18 March.

Local residents are concerned about plans to site the main entrance to the new two form entry Atheldene School in the middle of Farlton Road, which is a tiny residential side street. The council’s own traffic assessment estimates an additional 81 cars arriving every morning and afternoon at peak times with vehicle drop-off points in Farlton Road - we consider this a conservative estimate. We are not against the new school and welcome the proposed regeneration of the area, but would like the main entrance to the school to be situated on Garratt Lane. We are also dismayed at the lack of consultation with residents and the architectural design of the school is not in keeping with the surrounding area. The planning application is up for discussion by Wandsworth’s planning committee on 18 March, so we don’t have much time to make our objections.
