Large Banham development in Thornsett Road approved

Wandsworth Council has this week approved a new development that will see a large security company putting significant resources into Earlsfield.

The Banham Group's planning application is for a 50,000 square foot development that will be on the site of a vacant warehouse and railway embankment building on Thornsett Road. Banham, currently based in Vauxhall, have commissioned architects Allies and Morrison to design the multi-million pound project.

The new headquarters will house around 300 employees and up to 20 local youth apprentices. The development is scheduled for completion in early 2015.

Full planning details can be found on the Wandsworth planning portal.

Looking at Google Maps and speculating, I wonder if the vacant warehouse is the one that was taken over some months ago for an illegal rave?
